where should the egt guage be at idle. i know it will vary but abuot where. and also does anybody know what the max should be before considiered danger

 

It depends on how close it is to the actual turbo. If it is close to the turbo, your readings will be higher than normal and will allow for a hotter temp reading. You should be around 3 at idle, or before you actualy turn your car off. I wouldn't let it get past 9, depending on where the coupler is mounted of course.

thanks for the feed back. by the way i mounted it 1 inch away from the head of the #1 cylinder runner. thats cool right
