Default opinions on TD04 turbo

Hey, I got a TD04L from a 2002 wrx which I'm putting in my civic, was just wondering what everyone's opinion on that particular turbo is. Only pain in the *** thing I'm noticing so far is the way the turbo inlet is all outta whack but building an adapter for my manifold shouldn't be too hard I think....
Thanks

Do I search, I think we have a few users doing WRX turbo setups on their D-series civics.

I dont see any major problems, I have also been told the factory wastegates are set a bit on the high side, so be advised.

i'm putting one on my civic. just get 4.5inx4.5in steel plate 1/2 or 1/4 inch and order an inlet plate from www.uniquemotorsports.com and weld them together. i'm going to tap both plates and put studs in them to mount. you can also get the exhaust outlet flange as well because i'm sure you didn't get a downpipe. i think the wastegate is 8psi. i'm going to use safc and 450cc dsm injectors. you will also need to rotate the center and compressor sections. the oil feed is not oriented correctly for mounting on a honda. good luck. i will post as my install progresses. i had to put it on hold because my second vehicle took a ---- and i have to get that fixed before i can take the civic down for turbo.
