Default Chemical: Difluoroethane questions...

Anyone KNOW anything about this chemical?
I have belief it may be a good substitute for a nitrous intercooler kit. But I'm curious about its explosive properities.
What elements make up the chemical? Is it explosive ONLY in a compressed state? or is the vapor explosive to?
How cold can this chemical actually get, and how can I get it to get colder.

If you're really curious, it comes in these dust-off cans to keep keyboards clean... if you turn the canister upside down and shake it while spraying, it emits a long spray of freezing air (good for two things, pissing off roommates, and killing spiders).
I'm eager to try 'homemadeturboing' this as a substitute nitrous cooler - but I wanna know how bad my engine would blow from it

I'd run compressed CO2, personally. Not only is it stupid cheap, it's readily available in 5-15lb tanks. You could rig up the IC sprayer with the stuff described in the DIY nitrous page:

co2 would be much cheaper, just get any compressed gas, when u uncompress a gas it will get really cold, co2 is dirt cheap, just get that and spray up that intercooler i wonder if the intercooler would crack from goin from intake temp to -10 in a few secs.. guess theres one way to find out.

hmmm this other stuff I've got in 2x5 lb canisters for $12 at best buy.
I'm just wondering if it could be sprayed into the intake as well post turbo, or if this chemical is explosive/what not.
