I think there is some modifying required, and if memory serves me correct they might be too short I don't remember, and you will still need to notch your block to use them. I also think some parts of the rod needs to be trimmed for clearance.

Just because I think I remembered something useful to back up my statement.

B16 rods are shorter because B16 rods are shorter than B18 rods and I believe B18 rods are about the same size as D16 (i.e. using B18 rods in your A6 since it's chunkier).

So yeah B16 rods shorter than B18/D16 rods.

hmmm... are you goning to use d series pistons? Cause if you are just scratch the whole B16 idea period.

If you are using d16 pistons, just use LS rods like kirk was saying.

i think i remember reading something about b16 rods with supra pistons in a d series.

anyways, to use LS rods, you need to get the small end bushed to accept the smaller wrist pin of d series piston.

you'll have to notch the block with either.
to use the b16 rods, you have to use the Toyota 1G-GTE pistons. They are forged turbo pistons and the wrist pin location makes up for the rod heighth difference.

to use the ls rods, .0125" needs to be milled off each side of the bottom and the top end needs to be re-bushed to 19mm
