Default Field SFC-VTEC help

Okay this is the deal. I was just wondering if I could run the controller on a obd0 pr4 ecu and just run the vtec line from the sfc controller directly to the solinoid? Will I still enable the vtec point from the sfc controller? Or do I need to have a PR3 ecu to run vtec? I know the vtec soliniod is a high side driver so if you just apply 12volts it'll engage vtec. If you have any clues or ideas tell me about them. Also I'm runing a b16a1 motor in a 91 integra ls with a pr4 ecu.

you'll be fine with just the fields unit. you can get a rpm activated switch as well; it might be cheaper.

I'm not sure what you mean:
I know the vtec soliniod is a high side driver

High side driver as in the ECU sends 12volts to the vtec soliniod when vtec engages. Thanks for the feed back.
