alright, got my dsm today...have a question...

i know dsms arent exactly everyone area of expertise, but maybe someone would have an idea off hand of what kinda problem i have....
its a 6bolt cyclone, w/ blue top injectors(which are 450's, right?) witha td04 turbo on it(and yes he did give me a 14b to exchange that iwth) but heres the problem im haing....if you stomp it it kinda acts like its hitting fuel cut...if you get into the gears smoothly they act okay, but of course since the td04 is smaller than stock on that car it doesnt pull much harder than a n/a dsm....any ideas of what problem i could be having...
could it be the wastegate has taken a dump and is sticking closed...
or is the turbo just not big enough to produce a good air/fuel mixture.....any ideas?

post some more info on your car, year, 5spd or auto, mods, and the td04 doesn't mean much, since that just refers to the housing....Guest

ummm...90talon....but its a "jdm" cyclone motor i know its a 1g, which would be 90-94?? but when you get on it it kind of pops and sputters and jerks, in any gear, but if you press the pedal smoothly it runs fine...and in a neutral dry rev does perfect...also it has a 2.5"downpipe with full 3" exhaust with a resonator but no cat

yes it does...im not sure if its hitting fuel cut and just popping in and out of it or what....my cousins dsm will slam your face in the dash, but it spikes to almost 20psi sometimes...not sure on what psi this is pushing because i dont have a gauge....the factory gauge is tell me in the neighborhood of 12-13...which should be fine...but ive also been told that gauge doesnt actually look at boost, it tells you the amount of air being sucked in at the filter....
