Need help with fuel pump replacement
Hi guys, Im swapping the stock fuel pump out of my 91 DX civic in favor of a walbro, for obvious reasons. Can anyone give me any hints or tips or instructions on how to drop the tank and what order to do ---- in. I figure the more I know going into this the faster it will get done. Thanks.
the guy that posted b4 me was being a douche so i'll help ya out
have the car on stands. When you do that drop the tank with i believe a 10 or 12mm. make sure you have someone else help you ( thats if the car has gas in the tank). If you have no one to help then use a jack with a block of wood and lower it.
when you lower it you will be able to remove a bunch of little bolt securing the pump to the tank. take those bolts off along with the banjo one at the top of the fuel pump. Their will also be some rubber hose that you will have to remove to make it easier to remove.
At this point you should be able to remove the old pump.
Install the new walbro and the installation is reverse of removal.
Good luck and hope that helped!
