just start that bitch up, if it's hesitating buy 4 bottles of octane booster and put it in the tank. what gasoline looses is the octane after it's been in storage. i recomend driving it til the tank empties if you don't wanna drain the tank.

 

actuallt gas turns into turpantine(sp) after a while, goto napa and get some gas stabilizer

 

even with that stabiler ---- it will still go bad.It will lose its octane rating no matter what if it just sits.Kinda like how soda goes flat.

 

my car sits every winter from oct - apr and it starts all the time just fine.

 

crx88 if the temps are low-colder, gas will maitain the octane level longer. if a car sits for 3-4 months in 90 degree summer weather the octane will get much lower than at the colder temps.

 

Just use stabalizer when you store it, and then use a drying agent when you start it up. Should be okay. For your proble, just add the drying agent and some stabalizer, and you should be good.

 

hmmmm I have a car sitting since dec/jan... maybe it's time to change the fuel pump and fuel filter and see if she fires up. I think I have 1/2 to 3/4 tank of 91 octane in her, I was pissed when she cut on me

 

just fill it to the top and start it up

 

In either case, you build up condensation in the tanks from heat or moisture, and when it thaws out it gets in to your gas, gas shouldnt sit too long.
