I've never done a swap, and searching didn't turn up the specific answers I need.

I blew the d15b7 in my 93 Civic dx, and i'll be swapping in a full LS engine (maybe go ls/vtec later on). I will get everything I need, I think, except the alternator. Is the d15b7 alternator useable on the LS engine? Seems pretty generic. I'll be using the same wiring harness that's already on my car, just modifying it to accept the LS dizzy and intake manifole/throttle body. What about the starter? I'm guessing i'll need a new one of those. I'm trying to put together a list of the things i'll need. Can the motor mounts in my car be modified to fit, or will I need custom/Hasport mounts?

I'm shooting for a 92-95 obd1 integra motor.

you dont need motor mounts for a b series in a 92-95 civic

 

Are you saying that my d series motor mounts (eg civic) will work with a b18?

 

you need to mix and match the d and b series mounts, I forget which ones

 

When we put a gsr motor into my friends eg hatch we used all the stock mounts EXCEPT the driver side motor mount. We used a Hasport mount for that. Actually we might have one of those for sale if interested.

 

get a b18b from a 94-95 teg.. just newer

 

I did!! I ended up getting an engine from a 1995 LS, full engine, w/sensors, distributor, tb, etc. with less than 50k miles for $450
