mini-me ported polished help
im putting a d16y8 head on my d15b8 and i want to have it ported and polished its going to cost me $600.00
is it worth it for the hp gain
what kind of gain can i expect with a ported and polished head on a 90 hp engine

Differnt port companys claim different numbers.. My guess anywhere from 5-20hp depending on what type of port work is done.. Race valve grind? New camshaft? Larger valves? etc etc...

i am a machinist at a tech school right now, and i have done a bunch of d-series heads with a performance valve job and port work, a basic job is worth 8-12 hp, somewhere in there... i will do it for $150 if you ship it to me in MN... we have really nice equiptment and it will keep me away from another set of chevy heads.
