Default z6/y8 hybrid in 96 ex?

I am planning on putting a Z6 bottom end w/ a y8 top end in my 96 coupe. what differences will there be w/ this bottom end? would a P28 and a conversion harness be sufficient? or is there more to it then that?

belt should be the same, i was using a Z6 one without any problem.
you need headbolts for a Y8 since one of them is shorter.

3-wire iacv (obd-2) vs 2-wire iacv (obd-1).

also if you dont convert to obd1 you wont be able to use the CFS (oil pump crank sensor thingy majig).

I'm converting to OBD1, so all I have would have to do is the IACV, except mine is already 2-wire cause it is a y8

Yup p28 and conversion harness and your in business. Only 3 wire iacv came on all y7 motor and automatic y8's.
