Default what kinda welder...?

what kind of welder would i need to make my own manifolds and things like that?

If I am not mistaken, stainless steel requires TIG welding.

Tig Welders = $$$

mani's dont have to be stainless, but you can mig weld with stainless wire anyways Tigs are nice but slow as ----, get a mig I have a miller 210 and you can do a sweet job with that. I do want a tig also though.

what amp welder should i get , would you recomend gas too or no?

gas is good to have

otherwise your welds come out like bird ----. the gas keeps the burn there

weld that ---- as hot as you can get it...

and SS doesn't require tig welding....alum does though....well not even, you can get an alum wire and the right gas and use a mig but genernally it comes out like ----


tig vs. mig same thing, tig you can get prettier welds if you take your time, but you can do pretty much the same w/ a mig if you burn it hot enuff
