what year did obd2b start?

im putting a 96 ex engine into a 97 ex, i should have no problems right?

I think 96 was the first year not sure though.

96 97 are the same ----.
make sure it came from a5 speed if your working on 5 speeds. or the IM needs to go

OBD2B is 99-00 (96-98 are OBD2A)

You'll have no problems
