Default will i have a problem or not

ok here is my setup on a 95 civic dx coupe
91 cx exhaust manifold
94 14b turbo /internal wastegate
apexi bov
95 thunderbird intercooler
steel charge pipes and downpipe
stainless steal oil lines
brake lines as coolant lines
450cc dsm injectors with resistors
Apexi Safc, boost guage, oilpressure gaue, and fuel pressure guage.
stock fuel pump,

If everything is hooked up right, then my engine should start up correctly without a check engine light right

when you tune your apexi then you shouldnt throw a code or anything... it should start up .. maybe a ruff idle at first untill i tune the apexi correct... imma be putting this on as soon as my apexi comes in... thanks any imput would be appriciated

you won't get a CEL (check engine light) with the safc...

setup looks good. What are you doing about timing? Got to retard the timing a little bit... .5 - 1.0 per pound of boost to keep detonation out of play

do you need to retard using the hack? i thought if you were able to tune the fuel wouldn't detonate...or is this just extra precaution?

when you retard the timing, it makes the combustion go off a little further in the stroke (later in the stroke). Get a used MSD External Igniton off ebay or something:

You need a MSD Standalone unit. It has an external coil, and a cap to go on your distributor + wire. They will have a little *** called "boost retard" that you can put inside the cabin of your car and adjust it how you like.

Id take the base timing down 2-3 degrees untill you can score an MSD or Crane igniton box w/ a boost retard function.
Ive never used an AFC hack for fueling, but a D16a6 fueled via a rising rate and intercooled at 6-7 psi did not require any retard at all.

Lots of cheap MSD's and Cranes on Ebay, check it out.

before you start your car, after intalling the turbo setup, reset your ECU. you'll be like "why is my car not starting?" otherwise.
