best time 9.613 @ 75.992mph

1/8th mile sucks.

I'm overall pretty happy with it. Was constantly running 9.9's and 9.8's but finally started to stop the tires from spinning in first and got the 9.6.
I think with that mph I should be a bit quicker. Need traction, I can't give it full throttle in first.
There was a monte carlo there that ran a 9.0 @ 74mph so I know my trap speed is there, I just need some damn traction. Here's the full slip.

60ft - 2.3 (most of the runs were around 2.5)
E.T. - 9.613
MPH - 75.892

Setup:
ZC w/t25 at 10-5psi (spikes to ten and slows off to 5)

Hopefully I'll fix the boost problem and get some better tires and get into the low 9's.

 

sounds like my problems. i was running 2.5 60 foots and 9.8 1/8ths at 80mph

 

Nice I run 9.8's all day long on factory tires. I am only running 6 psi though anyway. Times look good keep it up.

 

Was your 9.6 on street tires

 

yeah, very shitty street tires, I was first running the 14" stock rims and then changed out to some 16" rims to see if they'd give me any tracion and it kinda worked. Definitly need some better tires and I'm thinkin about getting a phantom grip.

What do you guys think it will run in the quarter mile?

 

hmmm looks like your exhaust is killing you or the T25 is to small for the ZC...that's why boost goes down at higher rpm's

 

I have a friend who just ran a 9.4@77mph with a 2.2 60'. He has an 88 CRX HF, d16a6/d16z6 mini-me, comp 59300 cam, DC 4-2-1 header, and short ram. Its pretty quick for an all-motor SOHC.

I've been running 9.3@83mph with a 2.4 60', and not getting traction until third gear.

its true, 1/8 mile sucks *** because this kid thinks his ---- is as fast as mine because he is .1 slower in ther 1/8. I tried to explain to him that MPH matters, stands for potential, and he doesnt make the connection when i dominate him on the highway.. :P
