Default Twin-Turbo question...

Anyone knowledbeable on twin turbo setups? I'm wondering how parallel (non sequential) turbo setups work. For "V" shaped engines (V6's, V8's) where twin turbos are ideal, is the boost pressure that is seen at the intake manifold a sum of the pressures coming out of each turbo? What I mean is, if you have two turbos (each putting out 7psi) that dump into one intake manifold, is the boost pressure of the system then 14psi? Anyone know? Thanks.

no, if you have 2 turbos pushing 7psi each, your going to get 7psi at the intake, you just moving more volume of air, ei more CFMS.

It all depends on how your wastegates are set. If you are running internal gates, and they are both set to 7 PSI, you will get 7 PSI, if you are running a single external gate(with a crossover pipe from one manifold to the other) set at 7, thats what you will get.
