I've owned a 600 and ridden up to a 1200 and yeah they fly without a doubt. I had to sell mine for tuition money which was probably the best choice anyways.... I kept getting braver and I would probably be dead by now had I kept it.
You can buy one just be cautios, its normally someone elses fuckup that gets you killed.
I would love to buy a bike. Around here old people own the ratio of drivers on the road and none of them can see worth a ----. I'd be dead within a week and it would be an accident where I was doing 35mph and I get ------- plastered onto the side of a Lincoln Towncar.
Nothing cool like doing 155mph and pitching the back end out around a hairpin, narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic, but then the back end loses traction and I slide into the gard rail and become mutiple people. Cool stuff never happens to me.

I sold my GSXR1000 when I bought the new house. I miss riding, but I know a ton of people who have gotten hit. It really worries my wife. I respect her feelings. Plus the fact she doesn't mind all the money I put into the car as long as I don't buy another bike!
