the turbo spools but the vac/boost gage wount drop below 10 inch pounds of vac, i have a manual boost controler and its all the way closed and it still wount drop below 10 inch pounds....no boost leeks and i can hear the turbo spooling, its on a 91 ls teg. any ideas??

yea, my bad yea the car is moving and its under all the load the car can be under

 

it wount go below 10 inch vac, as in to, 0 or start to make +psi. ive played with the wastegat alot and ive even tryed unpluging it, to see if we could get some boost out of it and still nothing

 

1. turbo manifold leaking - check for head interface and turbo interface. what kind of gaskets are you using? sheet metal works well here.

2. wastegate stuck open or wastegate valve leaks

3. compressor inlet restricted or blocked - if you're using a rag to filter the air, guess what...no boost. take off everything connected to the inlet and see if it helps.

4. leak after compressor outlet - check all pipes, pipe couplings, interface to turbo, leaking bov, leaking intercooler.

im not sure about the wastgate
and for an air filter he is running panty hose
and ive been throught the charge pipe tighting every thing
