Does anybody with a d16y8 know whether or not the stock ignition timing is 16 like the z6 or 11 or 12? I have always had my y8 set to 16 advanced all motor, but now that i'm about done finishing up putting together my turbo setup on my car I am worried that I will screw up my motor with 16 degrees of ignition timing. I always thought 16 was what it was suppost to be, but my friend said he looked it up and it said 11. thanx guys.

 

Check the sticker under your hood. Stock for my Z6 is 16. I am guessing the Y8 is the same, but I don't know for sure.

 

well i checked the helms and it definantely sais 12. I even checked for the z6 and the z6 said 16 instead of 12. The only thing is that I always hear of people running 16 on their y8. You think i should take it to 12 just to be safe?
