I found a 86 crysler lanser and it had an air research turbo in it, I took a couple of stuff out and I saw no sings of oil leaking, no shaft play at all, i noticed like it doesnt spins very freelyyyyy, but it spins without problems.

Anybody knows about these turbos? What kind of flage they have? It looked like a T3 flange but I want to make sure. Id like to get it and use it for my crx sohc project.

If anybody knows about these turbos please post right up!

 

I have a Airesearch t-3 yes I know what you mean I took a air compressor and blew air into it and the blades spun very slowly but I sent it to Majestic turbo and they sent it back saying it was fine. When you look inside where the turbo connects to the manifold does it seperate into two. Mine does just wondering if yours does?

It's actually a DODGE lancer...I used to have one, my first car...a 87 dodge lancer turbo. Those things are slow as molasses in the arctic circle The only thing i didn't like was after 70k miles, the turbo ---- out on me

plymouth laser... like a eclipse or talon....

 

no that car is actually like a Dodge Daytona Turbo, just the plymouth trim....I've heard the flange on that turbo is hard to work with, but I'd at least give it a try....

i have that same turbo off my daytona. i'm probably going to install it on my civic if i get a turbo 2 motor to put in the daytona
