Apexi Auto (Turbo) Timer used as an air/fuel gauge...
Has anyone used the Apexi Auto timer's air/fuel ratio reading for monitoring? and how does it compare to a regular autometer air/fuel gauge in terms of accuracy since they both run off the stock oxygen sensor? I'm thinking of just going with the auto/turbo timer for monitoring my air/fuel ratio if there's no difference.. Any thoughts or reason why I shouldn't?
i have the apexi timer thats the size of my finger, if that's the one you have too. the air/fuel reading works fine, but it reads the other way around from my auto meter a/f. red on the apexi is green rich on my auto meter or my timer is just fuckt hehe.
1SlowGuy: Yes that is the one I'm looking to buy. Do you use both the auto timer and autometer gauge to monitor your a/f? And do they pretty much shadow each other through the RPM range, tick for tick?
Wildman: Wideband O2 in addition to the stock O2 sensor right? Or can a stock ecu read a wide band O2 also? I'd rather not drill a hole in the manifold to mount another sensor though
How many wires are the wideband sensors? 5 or 4?

yeah i know. i want to get a EGT gauge but i'm poor hehe. i got the timer as a gift and the a/f free from a friend. as long as i know i'm not lean all the time, i'm happy
