This is for tranceminister so he doesn't break anymore ----, haha. Figured I'd post it for everyone else too.
(sorry for the blurry pics, my camera sucks).

Step 1: with a small flathead screw driver, pry the side of the connector a bit to free the latch for the top clip that holds the wires. *note* there is one on both sides, so once you have one free, hold it with your fingers and gently pry the other side:


Step 2: this is how it should look once the clip is free:


Step 3: use a safety pin or sewing needle and stick it in the top of the hole in the front of the connector. There's a clip inside that holds the pin. You'll feel it where the metal pin meeting the plastic thing holding it. Gently use the needle to pry up on this little clip inside while you gently tug at the wire from the back side of the connector:


Step 4: if everything went well, the pin should freely slide right out:


Step 5: reverse the steps to put the pin back in or move it to another spot in the connector.
