Hey everyone. What's the largest (mainly TALLEST) IC you've ever seen in a 5th gen civic? I have one that's 15" tall that I may try to install. If anyones' done one this big, let me know what to look out for.

 

I have helped my brother install a SAAB
9000 turbo intercooler on his '92 hatch.
He has one of those obnoxious F&F style
body kits and wanted that intercooler only
because it would fill up the gapping hole.
He completely removed the bumper beam
and made "L" brackets to mount it and had a
lot of releaf (?) cuts to make.
In my opinion its not a good one to pick
because its only an inch thick and doesnt seem to be very efficient.Remember bigger is not always
better(i cant beleive i just said that)Its efficiency
in your application,pressure drop that matters.

 

OOPS i forgot to aswer your actual question
for your aplication look for one that closely
matches the opening in yuor bumper cover.
Im guessing around 7" tall by as thick as you can
find
