Default Will a d15b7 distributor work in a d16z6?

Im swaping my dx motor out for a ex motor this week and I am hoping I can use my old distributor. I know the wiring should work because I am gonna be using my old ecu with a vafc to control vtec. Will the distribtor bolt up though, I have been told there may be a difference in the bolt pattern. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

yup, their is a difference in the bolt pattern. You can modify one of the arms on the distributor so it only uses 1 out of 3 of the hold downs (you just have to grind it out a little bit) and it works just fine. I have used an A6 distrib on a ZC, and that was tough, and a a6 distrib on a Z6.. Same thing as what you are doing. It can be done, just a little modification here and their. Once you bolt it on, you will see what I am talking about.
