Hey guys,

ever since i have my drivers license, i'm dreaming about building a turbo car.
The only thing holding me back is a huge lack of knowledge and a very tiny budget (being a full time biology student). I'm not looking for insane bhp, or the fastest car that ever rolled down the streets of my home town, but just the fun and the experience of building and driving my own car.

I already made a plan, im not sure if its possible or not,
I would love a car that is normal and stock on low RPM's but when it revs up, the turbo kicks in.
I havent bought a car yet, because im not sure wich car is the best choice for my turbo plans.

I want to have a small hatchback with around 1300cc running around 9psi from 5000 RPM, i really dont know wich turbo i need to get, or how i get more fuel in the engine (changing the ECU is not an option with my budget)

i really really could use some help and advise.

Big turbos tend to do that on their own; if you size the turbo for best operation at high RPM, it won't do much at low RPM.
