Rebuilding Motor?

Default Rebuilding Motor?

my car smokes quite a bit. it is white smoke and i am told my valve seals and possibly valve guides are bad. i want put new seals in but im not quite sure how to so if anyone can give me some advice would appreciate it...... since i will have the motor apart should i just put new rings in to?

sounds like rings are going too. everything you're talking about is quite easy but not for anyone who has never done a build up. its not just all plug and play. you have to hone cylinders, torque and use plastic gauges, etc....id suggest you take it to an expert. unless you want to try and learn...but have someone that knows how to be there. valves are easy to take care of...but its the block that you might get lost on. get a haynes/helms/ honda manual and everything will be explained in detail there. good luck

coolant was also my though, oil from the valve seals/guides would burn blue-white, not white. Does it only happen at high rpms? --> head gasket...
