Hi guys, I'm having issues with my engine choke and sputter when I press the gas. So I perform a smoke test looking for vacuum leaks and found the throttle leak by the sides of the shaft (by the TPS and return spring).

I received mixed opinions on whatever this affect the engine performance and not. So I'm stuck on buy another throttle or leave this one.

The car have no CEL it can idle perfect all day long.


Any help will be Appreciated.

 

This isn't a major issue on a car running a MAP sensor setup - it could affect things with a MAF, a little, but Hondas typically don't run these. I suspect you've got an issue with your acceleration enrichment tuning instead.

Was the intake gasket in the bottom of cyl. #1.
