Default Starting my own Fab shop.

My first client is my dads car. It is a 1987 El Camino with a LS1 swap from a 2004 GTO in it and it also has all of the GTO dash and interior.

I started with the used Borla mufflers and tips that were cut off the GTOs exhaust and some stainless tubing from ACE stainless.

Than started to mock up.

Finish welded and polished.

Installed

After driving it all summer we got it back in the garage to put the H pipe in and v-band clamps.

I did a exhaust for a 2000 civic SI over the weekend.

He brought me a used muffler and resonator that I polished up.

I reused some of his old tubing to save him some money and just put the resonator in the middle. I did the rear section out of stainless and polished it all up.

That is really beautiful, I really like the interior change. That's a classy ride! I can tell that you just don't throw things together.

Awesome work!!! I am looking into doing ths part time myself. Bought a Miller Dynasty 200DX tig last year. Have two drill presses, Chop saw and other tools. I am a union sheet metal worker for a living but with this economy the way it is. I need to start honing my skills and making some side money. Really hoping to score a used cold cut saw and a new or newer mig welder this year too. Time will tell though. Good luck with everything.
