Default l28et(t) design test

I wasn't going to post this idea here until I actually made it, because DOING stuff and not just TALKING about it is what I like about the HMT community. However, I thought you guys would like to see how a non-crossflow head could be cool. I've discussed the design with a few people, and came up with ways to deal with knock from the higher charge temps (richen the circuit, water/air intercooler, retard timing via knock sensor, decrease boost when exhaust temps are too high using megasquirt, etc). It's not a terrible design, but isn't worth all the fab work for the engine I'm building. In any event, I love getting feedback so if you've got the time let me know what you think.

I spent months and months perfecting these designs (sarcasm) and plan to sell them for 6 bajillion dollars (sarcasm smeared all over) so please don't rip them off of me. If you're interested, check out the l28ett manifold designs. (not sarcastic, you really should check it out. It's amusing and I haven't seen anyone do it yet... I'll even include a picture so you aren't misled as far as the quality of the design.)

Well, thanks. I've actually been getting that a lot. Maybe it's just me being modest, but I think the drawing is kinda crap. I rushed through it to get the concept down. It offers crazy-awesome response time compared to pretty much any other setup anywhere, only one bend for the intake charge total. I just think it would suck as a daily driver setup.

just taking a quik look at link its a cool idea. ive seen under the hoods a few times but i am not that familiar. is there a way to tilt the compresors outward(makin exhaust a closer collector) into a top mount ic and the down to a single tb say in the mid of the intake?

I think the fenders would be in the way for that, but it may work. I just put the car up for sale anyway, need to get a driveable vehicle since I won't have time to shakedown this once it's complete. Wish me luck selling it!

I like this idea, if you have the cash you could fab up a laminova core in the intake manifold too :O throw it together in cad man!

I was thinking carbon fiber intake manifold, for its thermal properties. Right now, I don't have time to make any CAD drawings, I'm too busy getting ready to move and selling the Z. Wanna buy it?
