Default B-series junkyard turbo

Any forced induction b series out there running an oem/junkyard turbo from a different vehicle? I'm turboing my b16 and want to save cash where ever I can, but it seems that most oem turbo's are too small. I'm only looking for 260-290 hp because its a daily driver and I don't have the resources right now to rebuild my engine for handling more boost. Any help would be appreciated!

I suggest you go and look for a early model 300zx turbo 85-87 i beleive, they come with a decent size
t3 .60/63 there rated at around 32 lb/min so it should meet you hp goals.

Like all junkyard setups there are a few problems with it the turbo has an odd ball exhaust flange and the elbow has the wastegateflapper made in so you have to either find a way to use the elbow or get a new turbine housing with a standard t3 flange.

any turbo's that just bolt right up to a mani without having to fabricate? seems like most t3's that will bolt up r real small and that i'd lose power top end
I know my goals are small so that kind of helps, I just dont have the means to fabricate

Good luck, on my healthy jdm gsr I laid down 247 on 8.7 psi on a t3/t4 .48 hotside, 60 trim.

one of my friends was running a holset off a mid 90's dodge ram on his b16/ek hatch with an ebay (i think it was a t3) manifold.

Holsets off of dodge cummins diesels can be fround pretty cheap and most you find will support well over your power goals. I got my H1C off of ebay for about $100 shipped w/o and shaft play. And most holsets r t3 flanged
