Well I thought I'd try making a turbo set up for my stock big block chevy 454(crate motor) that I'm putting in a 1969 chevelle. I started gathering parts that I'll be using for the build and one of the things that I picked up was an Airesearch turbo off a diesel Mack truck. I'm not sure how to itentify if its a t4, t5, t6 and so on. The A/r on the compressor is.45 and on the turbine side is 1.00. Another question is what is a safe boost amount to run on a stock motor I was thinking around 10psi. Would this turbo be suitable for this application. Also where would I be able to find a map for this turbo. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Run the numbers on it, measure the exhaust inlet on it and you can go ahead and get the specs for how large a t3, t4, and t6 flange is given measurements. IMO I like mack truck turbos, I have one which is a scwitzer s400 series, on 25 pounds of boost on a fully built 393 windsor it made 895whp, of course this is in a superior foxbody , but really I have no idea on that motor, 10psi should be fine, it all depends on what kind of horsepower the motor can handle.
