Default Water cooled turbo blocking off water lines???

I have a water cooled t25. Just wondering if its possible to block off the coolant lines so its just oil lubed and long as it wouldn't hurt the turbo. I don't how it would just looking for some input.

You don't have to hook up the water lines. The water cooling just prevents coking of the oil from heat soak. After running a turbo hard, it is really hot. If you ran it hard then cut off the motor, the oil would no longer circulate and would absorb the heat and harden inside the turbo. That is why many people run turbo timers. This allows the oil to circulate for a bit to help cool down the turbo and keeps it from forming crud in there. You don't even need to use a turbo timer. Just make sure that you take it easy after hard runs to give the turbo time to cool down while still pushing oil through it.

Lol. Do you keep track of how many people you have talked into ------- their own ---- up? I would think you probably have some pretty good stats there.

You can leave them open. The water channels don't have any moving parts. Myself personally, I would cap them, but that's just b/c I like to tinker and would enjoy making the block offs.
