Default d16a1 head on d16y7 block

I whant know if you can put a d16a1 head on a d16y7 block on the cheap. I threw a rod on my block and the heads fine. I can get my hands on a y7 for nothing. anbody done this and is there any power or durability to be gained.

^ what he said but also if your running a d16a1 the motor mounts on those are different than that of the 88 on up civics i know there has been some people trying to modify their mounts to do this and make it work but yea......what car do you have?? im thinking you have a 1st gen teg? if thats the case your looking at onlybeing ableto use the D16a1's and i think they may have made a zc for that mounting set-up......also if you are anywhere near binghamton NY there is actually i think 2 1st gen tegs with good D16a1 motors in them at my local junk yard.....
