Forced Induction Custom FI Setup Questions

please help identify this turbo

Default please help identify this turbo

Its a garret turbo. Has a T3 exhaust flange and 50/63 ARs. Has an 'L' and M42 stamped onto cold side. You can kinda see if, but it looks like someone might have accidentally It has 3" intake and 2" compressor outlet. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures.

I believe its has a 44 trim wheel, 2" inducer 3" exducer so 4/9 = .044 * 100 = 44 trim.
I have no idea what this turbo is capable of and I would appreciate any help you could give.

looks like some sort of t3 t4 maybe? maybe even to4e? hold on a bit and there will be some very knowledgable turbo peeps answering. but I should be close lol. what did it come off of?

Was I anywhere near right with the trim calculation ? I found a couple websites with trim calc forumlas but I'm not really sure. I've been lurking on these forums for quite a while, but most of what I've been doing has been reading, and I still feel rather new to this stuff. Any help identifying this turbo would be great.

I have no idea what this came off of originally, but I was told it was on a B18 for a while. It will, however, be going on my Mazda as soon as I get a few more things to put together with it.

1. Use millimeters, not inches.

2. To measure it, take the compressor cover off and use a caliper.

I did take the compressor housing off and measure the blades, I just didn't take pictures of it because I wasn't thinking about it at the time ... I had used a friend's caliper. The measurements were both with a few thousandths of an inch from 2" and 3" respectively.

It doesn't matter if you use inches or mm, the answer still comes out to be the same thing.
3 inches = 76.2mm ^2 = 5806.44
2 inches = 50.8mm ^2 = 2580.64
2580.62/5806.64 = 44.44 * 100 = 44 trim
4/9 = 44.44 * 100 = 44 trim
The important thing about calculating trim is the ratio of inducer to exducer .... not what units you measure it in.

Point taken! Never actually measured anything other than the inlet/outlet of a compressor cover in inches so I had never actually thought about before.
