Default They say it cant be done...

So i picked up a t25 today for 50 bucks, i posted it on the bimmerforums with my intent of turboing an old e30, they all struck me down, and all i can think about is why a turbo that was designed for a 2 litre engine wouldn't work on a 2.5 litre engine

It will work, it will spool faster, but just not make as much power.

What ^ said, peak efficiency is gonna come too soon and then you'll be pushing hot air, but it's ok for a mild setup, don't see why not.

A single T25 is WAY too small for a 2.5l

Twin T25's would be ok though.

Probably get boost creep but it would still be possible. Twins might help but would be a lot of pipe, but pretty cool if you like "unique" stuff...

You would over spin the turbo in no time unless you had a very big wastegate.

I almost always reccomend one bigger turbo but for a budget setup where you could get 2 of those cheap, it wouldn't be a bad idea. The piping could be made simple. There isn't a ton of room in a bmw for turbos so you will have to be creative. I made a turbo kit for one of my suppliers using my m3 a while back. It's tight in there
