hi i have been working on my buddys 84 2.3 turbo. it has ported head intake e6 ex. man opened up to the turbo size.la2 ecu 35lbs. injectors t3t4 turbo just got a front mount intercooler off ebay anybody have pics. of thier front mount setup on one of these cars.also where would i put the bypass valve,i already tore up one t3t4 because it did not have a bypass.it was running 22 lbs. then and ran real hard.the rotor in the dist. came apart and it backfired at about 5000 rpm.anybody else have problems with the rotors coming apart?

Welcome to HMT

Sounds like youre havingfun with that 2.3...thunderbird I presume hehe. Place the bypass valve as close to the intake/trottle body as you can, after the intercooler. The closer to the intake the better. Also it helps reduce the "spool" time too, as the turbo isn't being forced to spool down when the car boost stacks off-throttle.

And I've never had a rotor come apart, attribute that to 25 year old parts

yeah we have been having fun with it.it's a 84 gt mustang convt.maybe its just junk quality parts (on rotor)
