Hello from me and my crusty old Honda.
Hey guys. Been lurking around here for quite a while, and finally decided to sign up.
For a while, I've been puttering around in this (actually not all that) rusty Honda Accord hatchback. I bought it from a buddy who was building it for Autocross and ran out of money, and since then, it's been...er...a bit of a problem child, and I've been spending quite a bit of time and money trying to get it running reliably again. But one radiator, alternator, heater core, oil pan gasket, set of tires, and many gray hairs later, she's going strong again. The suspension's been completely redone (riding on Tokico Blue struts, Neuspeed springs, ST sway bars, and poly bushings) and it's rolling on Potenzas, so it grips and handles amazingly. But there's one problem...it's so #&$@ing slow.
Which brings me here. The motor it currently has is the A20A3, an ancient boat anchor of an engine which features a cast iron block and a stock CR of a whopping 8.8:1. I believe potential exists here. It's already running NepTune RTP with an Innovate MTX-L wideband, so engine management is not an issue. I'm aware most of this is going to have to be custom made. My goal is around 200-250 HP, so as not to overstress the frame and the tiny brakes. I'm also considering FlexFuel/E85.
Anyway, thanks for taking a look. I hope to learn a lot here.
