its the white wire, my ZEX KIT says white wire, I only used it twice and then sold it.

Many years ago I was hooking up a zex kit on my b16 91 hb. I decided that it had to be one of two wires, and I hooked it up to the wrong one (can't remember) and it fried my ecu! So be careful!

sounds like you did something else too, just tapping into a wrong wire shouldnt fry anything, just mess up voltage readings imo
