zc timing

i have a zc turbo in my 91 crx hf. i have the msd btm and it never said what i should set the distributor to. so when i installed it i set the distributor to the stock timing with i think is 14 degrees btdc. is this the right place to put the base timing for the msd or is there another setting. i am running 8 psi on it for now and i have the msd set to start taking out timing after 2psi and it is set at about 1 degree per psi. so a total of only 6 degrees is taking out of the timing at full boost. with it set this it runs great and there are no ploblems, i just wanted to make sure that starting with the timing at stock setting was the right way. thanks in advance!

what else are you runnin for your management? fmu?

get rid of it, get turboedit and a set of 450ccs and you'll be fine.

You would have to tell us what you're using for fuel management for us to be able to tell you anything.

all i want to know is what do you set the distributor to when using the msd btm. now i obviously don't have a programmable management system because i wouldn't need the msd btm then. i am running an fmu to get me by until i can get zdyne. all of this was explained in my first post, you just have to read it!

first off, you didn't mention fmu or that you were just waiting to get zdyne...

second...why waste teh grand on zdyne? you can sell that fmu and the msd btm and have more than enough to give yourself a turboedit setup.

Now, I don't wanna be a prick or anything, but seriously, just look into getting rid of that ---- and picking up turboedit. it doesn't take much. and the advantages of zydne vs te aren't worth the extra money imo.

No, you didn't explain ---- in your first post. If you would have, I wouldn't have asked. You could have an FMU, AFC, SMC, TurboEdit, Uberdata, Chrome, Hondata, EMS,.....etc...etc.

Re:zc timing

if i cared about your opinion on the subject of fmu or turbo-edit, i would have asked that question. i just want to know about the msd btm question and thats it. i did not post my question so that i could listen to how shitty fmus are or how glorious TE is. so thanks for nothing, and just so you know you are being a prick!

There is the question in the second sentence of my first post. what my management is has nothing to do with the question i asked. timing is timing fuel enrichment is just that, pertaining to adding fuel.
