ZC Questions
Hey, I'm looking to build up a ZC, but I don't know much about where to get parts.
I know that you can of course use zc aftermarket parts, but there isn't much of a market for them.
When looking for parts that I can put in my zc, what parts can I look for from other engines? I tried searching for this on h-t, but because it's only a 2 letter search, it just takes it out and you get a blank search.
Thanks in advance and happy new year!

Re:ZC Questions
There are a few companies that make cams for them. Any D series rod will work. Any D series piston will work, but obviously that will kill your compression. There are several companies that make aftermarket pistons for them. I've never seen an aftermarket intake manifold, but they can be made with the proper tools and skills. What else do you want? With minor modifications you can make B series cam gears work, but they do make the proper ZC cam gears.

Re:ZC Questions
Any D-series rods will work, Crower/Eagle/Scat etc etc. As far as pistons, hands down go for Endyn Rollerwave's. They are already designed to work with ZC's. (www.theoldone.com)
Valve train stuff is always hard to get for ZC's. Gude makes some stuff If I recall, I think web has billet cams, but I'd go with a set of regrinds from crower. I had a set in my built zc and they were ------- mean all the way to 8 grand.
Parts are a mix bread between 88-89 d16a1 and 88-91 D16a6.

Re:ZC Questions
what are you lookin to do. There are a couple companies still doin zc stuff. Like jeff already stated endyn has pistons. DH-racing.com offers a mod to accept the ls valvetrain in the zc head so you can run aftermarket springs/retainers etc.

DOHC ZC engine is marked as D16A9, example;
D16A6 is SOHC engine;
i took the picture, D16A6 bearings were from Honda CRX Si - american model, and D16A9 bearing were from european Honda CRX 1.6i 16V;
So don't get fooled, bearings are not the same size!
