Well I have had tons of experince with the sohc vtec. I also have had a zc in my hb and honestly they have similar likings. The mini-me will have vtec and slightly higher compression where the zc feels like it has more bottom end torque. Now I have used forced induction on countless sohc vtec's and have found great succes. I personally say go with a mini-me.

The zc in a nice motor for boost, but honestly, you will want that v-tech.

I got a d16y8 vtec head for sale 220 shipped. Its off a 2000 ex with 20k miles. This would be perfect for a mini-me.

i dont see why people think they have tuning problems.. maybe cuz they are using a msd switch to activate vtec and aren't getting the proper fuel. The a6/z6/y8 blocks are all almost identicle. Just get the y8 head because the z6 wont accept the a6 dizzy. use the a6 dizzy/ecu/intake mani along w/ a V-AFC and you're set. The vafc allows you to adjust for the fuel curve and cure that 'tuning' problem.
