Sup. I have a '90 Si and i'm contemplating one of the following:

Swapping in a ZC engine, which i was quoted at 1500 including install

Doing a MiniMe head swap...

or turbocharging my current Si engine.

which do u think is the best value, since im on a budget

Throw a turbo on that bitch. Even if you decide to do a swap later on you can always swap the turbo over to the new motor.

agreed, definatly just keep the d16a6 and run the turbo setup..

 

You must be on a fairly nice budget if you willing to shell out 1500 for a zc swap. I gots to agree with the other fellas, turbo that A6. And instead of swapping later or whatever, build it internally and turn up the boost.

 

i also agree, boost the stock si engine as long as it runs good. If it runs like *** then I would do a compression check first.

 

what the ---- were you thinking? you're on home made TURBO .comical, you think we would suggest anything other than turbo?

 

umm zc or minime is like +20 hp the turbo is +80 or more.. just think about it

 

Everyone loves a boosted strung-out A6 on the ragged edge...



Value? Deff. a HMT setup on your A6.
