Re:zc d15 turbo
holy smokes, i'll have to take some time to read that.
here i put a d16a1 head gasket on a d16z6 block: http://img55.exs.cx/img55/513/p10100012lz.jpg top left is off: http://img55.exs.cx/img55/2166/p10100024pe.jpg top right is barely off: http://img55.exs.cx/img55/4219/p10100044zt.jpg bottom right has different shape: http://img55.exs.cx/img55/7997/p10100059ye.jpg bottom left same as bottom right: http://img55.exs.cx/img55/2135/p10100061sv.jpg here i photoshopped it to show the difference. it is not perfect, but gives you an idea: http://img63.exs.cx/img63/1259/a1z6botttomright7ga.jpg you do not want to use the felpro gasket like i have which has the red gasket material stuff. the block passages go outside that seal. but an all metal gasket should be fine. http://img63.exs.cx/img63/5639/a1z6botttomleft3mf.jpg |
Re:zc d15 turbo
As whiterice shows in the pics, thats what I remember. The oil return (back from the head) should be chamfered a little bit to match the a1/zc head config.
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg Also if this was a 2g ZC blacktop head, you shouldnt have to do that step at all. The d16a1 has a different style mount on that side, so thats probably why you had to grind it off. |
Re:zc d15 turbo

Re:zc d15 turbo
nobody asked what the door bell is for.
is the hurst button is the nos? |
Re:zc d15 turbo
well cars have doors dont they? no just kidding.the door bell is for my horn i got the biggest button i could from auto zone. that why i dont have to search for it when i'm pissed off.the button on shifter is for 2-step rev limiter so i can do full throttle launches and shifts. and the horn buttons on my wheel are for nos that way i dont have to take my hand off the wheel and i can keep one hand free for the 2-step.

Re:zc d15 turbo
So what can you rev this to. Or do you know or have you tried. It sounds like it would be fast.
