top left is off:

top right is barely off:

bottom right has different shape:

bottom left same as bottom right:

here i photoshopped it to show the difference.
it is not perfect, but gives you an idea:

you do not want to use the felpro gasket like i have which has the red gasket material stuff. the block passages go outside that seal. but an all metal gasket should be fine.

As whiterice shows in the pics, thats what I remember. The oil return (back from the head) should be chamfered a little bit to match the a1/zc head config.

Also if this was a 2g ZC blacktop head, you shouldnt have to do that step at all. The d16a1 has a different style mount on that side, so thats probably why you had to grind it off.

yep the d16a1 head gasket dosen't fit too well on the block that is why i used a d15 head gasket. you know how the d16 head gasket has them two holes? the d15 hasone oblong hole so the oil can drain out freely. if you still have the d 15 or head gasket you can see how the head oil drain holes line up better with the d 15 head gasket. also if you look at the a-1 drain holes they are tear drop shaped so they line up with the block hole.also on that top left bolt hole you need the d15 head gasket so you can get the bolt thru the gasket. now take one of the d15 bolts and put it thru the zc head. there is enough play (becuase of the larger bolts for the zc) for the bolt to fit perfectly in the top right. but like i said for the top left you need to bore it out slightly. the thing that makes this work is to use the d 15 head gasket.

well cars have doors dont they? no just kidding.the door bell is for my horn i got the biggest button i could from auto zone. that why i dont have to search for it when i'm pissed off.the button on shifter is for 2-step rev limiter so i can do full throttle launches and shifts. and the horn buttons on my wheel are for nos that way i dont have to take my hand off the wheel and i can keep one hand free for the 2-step.

So what can you rev this to. Or do you know or have you tried. It sounds like it would be fast.
