Z6 oil pump on Y7 block question
Ok I was doing some reading and i'm still confused.
The z6 block have the dipstick in the middle, but the y7 block has it on the side.
I heard that the z6 has 2 different bolt patterns than the y7.
If that's true, that would make it impossible to check the oil level, right?
Has anyone done this before? Let me know. Thanks

i heard z6 pumps arent interchangle with y series pumps, dont quote me on that tho. i know they make high flow pumps aftermarket for the y series, that guy bense on h-t knows about it. pm him.
and the dipstick on the z6 block doesnt go near the oil pump, i assume this is how it is on the y7 even though it is located closer?

you can put a z6 oil pump on a y7 no problem but there is no hole to put a dipstick....z6 pumps are better than y7s so if your not a guchbag and know how much oil your putting in then go for it
