So same bottom end and oil pump as the last time the cam snapped (this happened pretty quick after startup right?)
Then you changed heads to this aftermarket Autozone cast special (that had somehow been ported)? Car ran for a while but still damage on the same cam journal...weird.
As far as getting a Z6 head ported from Belben, that may be a possibility, but you might get a better deal and quicker response getting one from Chris (the mod).

Gonna tear it down and inspect the bottom end. Im going to modify the oil pump, and possibly p/u an OEM pump (which will also get modified).

Ill take the head to the machine shop to get a figure on the cost to repair the head I have. Im glad this isnt my daily driver any more.

i had this happen to my z6 head few years ago, my question is... did you torque the caps to the spec in the manual or did you just tighten em up and call it good? the reason i ask is my dumb ---- buddy over torque mine and this cause my cam to do the same thing as yours. car was idling fine and then all of a sudden it died and snapped the key on the cam gear. damn thing siezed up. took apart and cleaned journals up with a scotch brite (green one) and checked the clearence, worked out ok for me.

Drill out the oil metering orifice in the block, most likely it has some sludge or debris partially clogging it. A tiny bit more flow won't hurt anything, and will ensure the passage is clear.
I know this sucks, but it's better that you found it now instead of the engine coming apart on you and destroying a lot of ----.
Saw that happen to a local A6 with a Gude head/cam package. I just figured it was due to not so Gude parts.
