I was going to install my Zex cam and noticed this when I removed the stock Z6 cam.

I have a cheap d16z6 head. Little bit of surface rust from sitting on the shelf forever. Its just the head which from the looks of it is all you need. Cam caps, valvetrain all there.50+shipping its yours

I appreciate that Chris, I was going to ask you if you had any spare cores, then I remembered that this head was ported. :'(

What are your thoughts on the possible cause? Oil pump FTL?

Re: Z6 Head damage

The cam caps were not mismatched and this is the second time that this has happened. The other time it happened the cam seized and sheared the cam gear off.
So this head is a different one but the same problem, Im thinking that the egay oil pump Im using is not uo to par.
I may just get an OEM pump and modify it to Endyn write up specs.

Oem pump for the win. Was the damage on the same cylinder before?
