Z6 dizzy work with PR4 ecu
thats what I need to know. I have it all wired up I just don't want to fry anything.

If its a 90-91 OBD0 PR4 ecu its not going to run right with a OBD1 z6 distributor.

inside the dizzy there is a wheel behind the rotor.it has teeth.if you dont use the correct one the timing and spark will be off big time.it will damage the motor if it will even start and idel.

left if obd0, right is obd1. the reluctor wheel on obd0 is the top one and the reluctor wheel on obd1 is the middle one. you can't switch that middle section between distributor bodies either, I tried. obd1 is slightly taller by about 2mm and the bigger reluctor wheel doesn't let it fit inside the obd0 shell. right click on the picture and select properties, then copy the image address and look at it in an explorer window to see the full size picture with more detail, it's a pretty big picture. |
