check out turbod16.com. the z6 is acually better then the y8 because oh the oil holes in it. i'm told with the z6 the oil flows through better because the holes ar rounded at the end.

Ahhh no, the z6 motor is better because of the oil pressure. If you use the z6 crank you will have timing issues. I say just find another y8 crank.

hey btw?/ Just took them both and i dont see why if i put a z6 in a y8 it would make a difference in timming?? Im going to be using the old y8 crank crank pulley and timming belt gear?? It fits on there perfect anyways??

It could work as you say, but the y8 has different oil holes the z6. Also its really easy to find a y8 crank why not just get it?

rfom what i've found it won't change the timing. the z6 has 2 holes per and the y8 only has 1 hole per. that is why the oil flows better. and i don't think the z6 head studs will work. and if u want some more oil pressure u can shim the pump.
