Well i got my crx up and running so i take it to the gas station to get gas and i decided to take it out on some roads for testing. well so im out on the roads testing it out spins first, spins most of second takes off in third and clutch slips in fourth. its cool thats what i expected. anyways a friend of mine shows up to my house as im getting back and i take him for a ride in it. well about 10 minutes into the ride i ---- something up. it was pressurizing the coolant system and blowing oil and vapors out of the valve cover breather. it was still running so i drove it home by the time i get home it is pouring smoke out of the exhaust and all that good ---- then it finally just stopped running. anyways i was pretty sure i fucked a ringland up (due to 12psi untuned) because it would not start out of frustration i traded it for a near mint 86 rx7 n/a only problem is is it does not run. it is not getting spark to the coils (trailing or leading arent getting spark) now i find it hard to believe both are bad at the same time. does any one know what maybe i should check.

hg blown, or head was warped? shouldve taken that basemap, added fuel, and retarded the timing all over the boost range.

it was running pretty strong and it was not detonating from what i could hear but all the sudden it was smoking then it stopped running all together and i heard some metallic sounds coming from it just before it went out

drop a v8 in it. that will fix the problem.

check all fuses and all grounds. how did you check the power to the coils?

well there is not power coming out of the coils i did not check going in becuase my multimeter got wet and is broke. but i did the screw driver in the coil trick and there was no arc from the leading coils. i also dont know where the ecu for this car is. im completely new to the rotary engine, but im going to get a new dmm and hope flly find the problem. this car only has 85,000 and was garage kept. its almost show room condition. so i really want to start driving it. i was thinking of a turbo2 swap with my tax return but i gotta see how much i get back

the ecu is gonna be in the same spot as your crx was 10mm nuts holding it down just like the crx too.

yeah ill takie the haynes manual how much shipped to 75503. i have not got a chance to look at all the details of it becuase today it was all raining and ----

I had the same problem with my rx7. Had a bad igniter. Get a shop manual and diag it right.

Sorry man but Pistons>rotary. ---- spinning triangles. :P
