Default y8 head rebuild for mini-me

I bought a y8 head for my d16a6 motor, the kid who I bought it off had it tore down and cleaned by some shop, and then sent back, without it being put back together, thinking he'd just do it. Well he decided to just go b series, and I bought it off him. Anyway, he wanted an extra $75 bucks to put the head back together, and I thought hell, I'll just do it myself and learn on the way.

So anyway, I bought a haynes manual for the 96-00 civic, but there's a couple parts that I don't know what they are, where they go, or both. Help?

"Lost motion assemblies," in the manual says to check them for finger force motion, but doesn't say where they come from or where they go, just says to remove them and inspect them.

Donno? I have one that came with all the stuff he sent me, but he also sent me a bag of random head parts in case I found something missing, so if I need more than one, it's probably in that bag.

Donno on this either? Seems like I have two of them though, but one of them has a "In" tag on it?

there valve seals and the other thing is a dowel pin that goes in the head then lines it up on the block
